Register Now for Zion Day Camp

The ZDC Handbook for 2008 is now available and includes all forms needed to register your child.

Dear Parents-

Welcome to this summer’s Zion Daycamp program. First and foremost we want to stress to you that your child’s health, safety and happiness is our number one priority this summer. If you ever have any questions our concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us at the numbers listed below. We have a few policy changes from last year, that we would like you to take note of for this year.

Drop off and Pick-up Policies

During the week of VBS sign in for ZDC will be at the front doors nearest trinity hall. For the rest of the summer, we ask that you enter the building through the north parking lot entrance (which is located on the back side of the building nearest the Sunday School office). Just inside the doors will be a time clock and a timecard for each child enrolled in ZDC. We ask that you clock-in each of your children, and return the card to the time card rack. From there you should proceed to the “locker room” set up in the (TBD) room. Your child can place his/her belongings in their locker (these lockers will not be assigned until the week following VBS), and then should proceed to the Micah room, where morning activities will take place. We ask that you please escort your child personally to the Micah room every morning, for safety purposes. (A map will be available before ZDC begins.)

When picking up your child, please use their time cards to check them out, then check the schedule posted near the desk to find where the children are located in the building/outside at that time. Please don’t be offended if you are asked to provide an I.D., we have instated this policy to ensure the safety of your children.

Locker Room Policies

The locker room is located in the (TBD) room. Your child will have locker assigned to them, to store their personal belongings. (Please note that we do not assign personal lockers until after the week of VBS) We ask that every Friday your child’s locker be cleared of all objects, with the exception of their sunscreen, bug spray and a personal water bottle.

Items Requested

We ask that your child bring sunscreen, bug spray and a personal water bottle to use for outdoor activities. These items should be labeled with your child’s name, and stored in their lockers, and can be left for the entire summer.

Lunch Policy

Please supply a cold lunch for your child each day they will be attending ZDC. Do not send anything that needs to be microwaved or warmed for consumption. We do not have the time or the staff to accommodate these needs.

Family Files

This year we have created a file system to help us keep in better contact with you the parents. Located on the check-in desk, will be a large plastic file box. Inside will be a folder for each family. Inside that folder you can expect to find any updates, incident/accident reports, artwork, or monthly newsletters. Please check your folder daily for information.

Pick-up

We will be posting a location map, near the sign-in table. This map is designed to let parents know where the can find their children when they come to pick-up. Directors will place a dot in the area the children are located throughout the day, this should cut down on the aimless wandering parents find themselves doing when searching this large facility for their children.

Statements and Late Payment Policy

Billing will be placed in your family file on Monday afternoon. Payment for that week will be required no later than the Friday of the same week. If payment is not made by Friday, a $15.00 late charge will be added to your statement. If at anytime your statement balance extends beyond two weeks overdue, you will be asked to pay in full before your child/children are allowed to return to Zion Daycamp. If at anytime you find yourself having difficulty paying your statement, please see an administrator (Pastor Becky, Roxie Otten or Holly Husom) to make payment arrangements. If there are any discrepancies on your statement please contact Holly.
